What is Body Talk?
Body talk is a treatment protocol that involves examining a patient for problems in communication within the nervous and/or energy systems of the bodymind. Once a problem has been located, the troubled areas are contacted with the practitioner's and/or patient's hands. While the patient takes a deep, full breath cycle, the practitioner lightly taps the skull of the patient. The cycle is often then repeated while the practitioner lightly taps the patient's sternum.
The patient will then undergo rapid healing utilizing the bodyminds's own innate healing abilities. This is what happens when you combine the wisdom of advanced yoga, the energy dynamics of acupuncture, the clinical findings of Applied Kinesiology, and western medical expertise. As a result of this synthesis of knowledge, ancient and modern, Body Talk has the potential to revolutionize the treatment protocol of all alternative and orthodox healing modalities.
Common disorders that Body Talk helps are:
Dyslexia and attention deficit disorder; left/right brain confusion; chronic viruses and infections; poor immune system functioning; many cases of allergies; poor blood sugar balancing; arthritis and general musculoskeletal disorders, including back pain; organ dysfunction; emotional and psychological disorders, and energy system imbalances. This list only skims the surface.
Why Body Talk works...
The Basic Body Talk philosophy is founded in Dynamical Systems Theory. This theory recognizes that the bodymind complex is a series of systems that need clear communication channels between them in order to maintain harmony and health. If those lines of communication are compromised, then disharmony and poor communication will lead to lowered vitality, lower resistance, disease, and long-term breakdown in the form of degenerative processes
Reestablishing those lines of communication with Body Talk will greatly assist the body to maintain its own health. Body Talk is not a complete system in that it is limited to improving a vital aspect of health. It does not address the essential needs of the body in the form of good nutrition, exercise, sound mental health, and a healthy environment. There are many other good modalities that address those points. Body Talk complements those systems and adds another very important dimension to them - effective body/mind communication and dynamic systems interaction.
